The Academy of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, located at 329 Gradle Drive in Carmel is the only Academy in Indiana affiliated with a professional dance company.

The Academy offers year-round training from a fully professional faculty including guest professionals. Curriculum includes: Modern Dance, Ballet, Pointe, Broadway Jazz, LA Jazz, Bollywood Jazz, Scottish Highland Dance, Kathak (Classical Dance of India), and more. Classes are available for dancers age 5 through adult.

With decades of accumulated performing and teaching experience, the faculty of the Academy of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre includes degreed and professionally trained instructors which include the following institutions: American Ballet Theatre, Butler University, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, Colorado Ballet, Point Park University, and Ball State University.

Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre students enrolled in The Academy of GHDT receive high quality training, and have the opportunity to appear in selected productions with the professional company, the annual production of THE NUTCRACKER as well as opportunities to participate in G2 (the pre-professional company of GHDT).

EXCITING NEWS!
Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre is excited to announce the addition of LAURA BYRAM to the faculty of the Academy of GHDT.  Ms. Byram is formerly the Director of the Jordan College Academy of Dance (JCAD) and has taught at JCAD for 26 years.  She is currently an adjunct faculty member of Butler University teaching dance majors.  We are honored to be able to continue the legacy of exceptional classical ballet and dance in Indiana and Ms. Byram's addition to the Academy's faculty brings unsurpassed training opportunities to young aspiring dancers of Central Indiana.
