GHDT’s modern interpretation of the holiday classic spins a tale of compassion and self discovery through the eyes of an orphan girl names Klara who lives in the streets. Her harsh reality is transformed to a world of beauty and magic through the seemingly insignificant gift from a homeless man. Presented by a cast of over 100 young dancers, GHDT’s THE NUTCRACKER has become an “alternative” holiday tradition for many families. Don’t miss it this year!

New for GHDT this year is the addition of an APRIL concert. Two of GHDT’s most popular and critically acclaimed pieces JOAN OF ARC and THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS in one exciting concert.

JOAN OF ARC features the women of GHDT in a beautiful and powerful depiction of a young peasant girl who saved a nation, was burned at the stake for heresy and then ultimately lifted to sainthood. Complimenting this heavenly piece is the dark and beautiful THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS. Pride, Sloth, Angry, Gluttony, Greed, Envy and Lust all dance their way through this poignant and unforgettable contemporary ballet.
